Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Emily Puchalska is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of
Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University and graduated from LaSalle University with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Emily is fluent in Polish and English.  She specializes in working with trauma, couple’s conflict, stress management, anxiety, and depression.

Emily has worked in a variety of environments including family based therapy (traveling to clients homes), group practice, and agency work. She continues to learn and build understanding of her practice. She has had the opportunity to work with well known names in the field such as Dr. Harry Aponte.  These experiences have assisted her in gaining deeper self reflection as a therapist, community leader, and woman. She has over 5 years of experience and completed Dr. Sue Johnson’s Intensive Course in Emotionally Focused Therapy.  These trainings continue to deepen her understanding, allowing her to tailor therapeutic interventions to fit clients needs.

Emily approaches therapy using several researched based techniques including but not limited to Gottman methods and Emotional focused therapy. In addition, helping couples and individuals understand how their past and present experiences in relationships impact perceptions of self and how
one presents to others (relational perspective)
