This particular year has been hard on so many people, worldwide. Families, businesses, homes, hospitals, police departments, public service places, individuals, all hit with the whirlwind of struggle. If you did not struggle this year you are some how immune to what the universe had in store for 2020. Good for you, but the rest of us know what I am talking about. Many of us are still working our way out of the mess. So, consequently, we may be giving less than we were in other years. I want to encourage you to think about what this season is Truly about.
This year has taught us if anything to appreciate the little things. In addition, I want to encourage you all to appreciate the gifts we can give and receive everyday that are not of monetary value. Those gifts that we cannot live without, the ones that make us feel whole, good, and special. In a world where many of us have so much, yet understand so little about one another’s needs, it may seem. Be grateful for those around you who want to help lift you up when you fall. The people in your life who lend you a helping hand, who think of your well being. The people who care for you near and far. The ones who give gifts of love, appreciation, care, and kindness.
This year has taught many of us, that no matter what we have if we have not people we can count on, people we can be there for, we are missing out. This passage reminds me of “A Christmas Carol”. It is NEVER too late to make a change, to make a friend. Smile, reach out your hand, and open your heart. Love is All around you. Sometimes we just have to open our eyes, to experience the greatest gift of all. Love.
Happy Holidays and Breathe Easy
