Rasheedah Thompson
Pre- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Rasheedah is currently preparing for graduation March 2023 from Capella University, a CACREP and COAMFTE certified program, with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2020 from Capella University. She is an inducted member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as a member of Delta Kappa Pi’s Capella University Chapter.
Rasheedah has experience working with clients of all ethnicities, especially the BIPOC community, and all genders that are dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, and divorce. She believes that the ideal therapeutic relationship is a partnership that consists of healing old wounds, and learning new ways to handle trauma, cope, and adjust to new situations.
Rasheedah utilizes Harlene Anderson’s approach of collaborative language systems. Additional approaches such as narrative therapy, along with experiential approaches that follow Carl Whitaker’s work. These are approaches known to bond the therapeutic relationship to optimize outcomes for each individual client.

Her approach is to truly come from a loving place, where judgment is left at the door before you enter a session, where you can lay your problems all on the table and leave with the weight of the world no longer on your shoulders. Rasheedah provides the grace that people have trouble giving themselves. She loves arts and crafts, scrapbooking, crocheting, and creating pillows, and spending time with family.
